About Us

Antharaganga Vidya Samsthe

The institution is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act in June 1995 as a non-government organization at Kolar (D), Karnataka. The main objective of the organization is to provide free education, training, and rehabilitation accommodation to physically challenged and mentally retarded children, orphans, and economically poor children. The organization is accommodating people of all ages from 5 years to 50 years irrespective of caste, creed, and community. 
Our Objectives:
  • To enable tangible improvement in the cognitive capacity of mentally challenged children and old age people with care and protection, under professional guidance through special school and nurturing.
  • To provide vocational training and job placement for trainable mentally challenged children.
  • To provide mentally challenged children with residential facilities, nutritious food, health care, therapies, and surgeries.
  • To integrate mentally handicapped children with normal children.
  • To undertake and participate in programs pertaining to health, education, employment, and rehabilitation of the disabled.

Our Programs

Old age home

We have running “ANTHARAGANGA ASHRAYADHAMA“ (Old age home) for 12 years for annulled and roadside old age people for their dignified survival with food, shelter, and recreation and to provide assistance to the potentially weaker old age people who are unable to fulfill their basic day-to-day needs who are literally thrown out by their families and become the roadside destitute, whereas they can lead a happy life in a peaceful, hygienic and relaxed environment along with the other children in the campus. At present, there are 18 such inmates on our campus.

Sports for special children

Our special children have participated in different district-level, state level and country-level sports meet, and Paralympics and won gold, silver, and bronze medals with special appreciation.

Inclusive child care institute- physiotherapy unit inauguration

On March 6th, the NGO celebrated the inauguration of its Inclusive Child Care Institute's physiotherapy unit, marking a significant step towards holistic child development. This specialized unit is poised to provide essential physiotherapy services to children with diverse needs. The inauguration event showcased the NGO's commitment to inclusive and comprehensive care, promoting the well-being of all children under its care. Through this initiative, the NGO envisions fostering an environment where every child receives the support they require for optimal growth and development.

Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program

The NGO implemented a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program, educating children on proper hygiene practices and breaking taboos around menstruation. Workshops and informative sessions were conducted to foster a supportive environment for open discussions. The initiative aimed to empower girls with knowledge, ensuring they manage their menstrual health confidently and without stigma. Through these efforts, the NGO contributes to promoting overall well-being and menstrual equity in the community.

International Day of Disabled Persons

The day is about promoting the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities at every level of society and development and raising awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of political, social, economic, and cultural life.

We celebrated the International Day of Disabled Persons at our school.
